To our beloved Southwest Florida community,
It is with deep gratitude and a heavy heart that we announce the closing of the SWFL Military Museum, formerly located in the Edison Mall. For the past 15 years, we have been honored and blessed to serve this incredible community with our mission to Honor, Preserve, and Educate about the rich and vital history of the American military.
Our journey began on Leonard Street in Cape Coral, and over the years, we have been in multiple spaces within the Edison Mall. However, despite our best efforts, our current location proved unsustainable, and we have not been able to secure a new venue that would allow us to continue offering the immersive and educational experience our visitors deserve.
While our physical doors are closing, our mission lives on. Many of our cherished exhibits have found new homes in museums, schools, and community facilities where they will continue to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans. Others are in the process of being donated, ensuring that their stories will continue to inspire future generations.
We extend our deepest thanks to our supporters, volunteers, and visitors. Your generosity of time, resources, and spirit made our 15 years of service possible. We are especially grateful to our founders, Ralph Saltillo and Nick Napolitano, whose vision and unwavering commitment laid the foundation for everything we accomplished.
Though this chapter is ending, the legacy of the SWFL Military Museum will endure. We encourage you to continue seeking out and sharing the stories of our veterans—because remembering is the greatest honor we can give.
With heartfelt appreciation,
The SWFL Military Museum Team
